The Fortune3 online store builder is set up for users of every skill level. It is a synchronized PC / Web server software that provides professional Ecommerce solutions and shopping cart software for online store transactions: The PC software builds an online store and uploads it to a Web server; the server software is a Website shopping cart engine that performs online transaction processing for B2C and B2B by using SSL encryption and a SQL database - it includes an administration interface via Web for accessing and managing these transactions.
The PC software allows creating and designing customized templates, Web pages, and menus; multiple category levels and products offering custom ordering options.
The Website shopping cart system (Web server software) processes online orders for products, services, and downloadable (digital) products. It integrates with Google Checkout, Paypal Express Checkout, any online merchant account provider or payment gateway. It also integrates with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL to provide online buyers with live shipping quotes directly from these carriers.
Fortune3 offers multiple pricing plans ranging from $29.95/mo to $159.95/mo depending on how many products you wish to list on your store.

It is broken up into two parts- a so-called Wizard that runs on your PC (sorry, MAC users), and a web interface. There is overlap between the two which causes confusion. If you make a product change, you can not preview the changes without first uploading your store, which means it goes on-line. You then have to upload it a second time to be able to create a rescue file- otherwise you can not retrieve your store. There is even a situation where you have to do a dummy upload from your PC when you use their web interface, otherwise changes made on the web interface won't take effect. Ridiculous!
Customer support is insulting and rude. They consistently push back if you report a problem in their software to them. For example, if you click on a product, and a DIFFERENT product opens for editing, they say that is fine and there is no problem.
Fortune3 offers an over-priced and very clumsy approach to eCommerce, and their support is worthless. If you need eCommerce, go elsewhere.
