The DEV’s comments: Outside of it's absolutely HORRIFYING and LAME customer non-service the cart actually works great! Customer reps act like they are doing you a favor over the phone and are extremely poor when it comes to direction,… They act like you are an idiot and are just calling or emailing just to chat! If you dont know PHP or code, run away from this software group, Their Customer Service is ruining their business and I have had quite a few very uneasy encounters with them!

Vincent’s comments: Our Pinnacle Cart has over 10,000 items which are updated by exporting the items from his billing software which has all items sold in a local database. The scripts generate the CVS files which are then imported into Pinnacle Cart. We have found this software very powerful and easy to use. Since switching we’ve seen a 500% increase in business, no kidding. As owners we are very happy with the results and with your software.

Andrew’s comments: I had high hopes for this cart. I really like all the features, third party support, user interface and one page checkout. Sadly, my experience is ruined by a draconian licensing scheme. The Pinnacle Cart installer requires license key verification before it will continue. The domain, subdomain or IP address of your server must be registered on Pinnacle Cart's end before the key can be verified on your server. This is bad enough, because if the company ever fails, there is no assurance that you'll ever be able to reinstall using your "owned" license ever again. But it gets worse! To update the IP, domain or subdomain requires a current support contract. If your contract has expired, it costs $169 to renew. I have no problem requiring a support contract to receive technical support, or to download major or minor updates, but just to update the server you're licensed to use *your* cart on? Unthinkable.

Eric’s comments: When I was looking for a shopping cart for my clients, I searched tirelessly, looking at a multitude of different carts in a wide range of costs and features. This is a time-consuming task and through the process of elimination, Pinnacle Cart kept making its way to the top of the list andstayed there. I was impressed not only in the cart, the features, and the back-end, but even in the way Pinnacle Cart sells its product via the design and available information on their website, which means to me, as adesigner, that Pinnacle Cart realizes the importance of aesthetics and logical navigation which translates directly to their product. Fast forward a few years and I am still very happy with my decision, have them installed on multiple sites, recommend them often, and have found their technical support to be repeatedly helpful and patient when it comes to questions or trouble shooting, which wraps this whole package up very nicely.

Dennis’s comments: I have been using Pinnacle Cart for 3 years now. We have over 70,000 items and what caught my eye was the bulk product and picture import and export feature. I'm not a programmer, so I had to have a good cart with a great support team. That is why I think Pinnacle Cart is a Great Package. My support tickets are responded to promptly. John’s comments: My firm had very little web marketing experience and subsequently had a problem with the web designer we hired for a new website we wanted to launch. After paying him for the implementation of the pinnacle software, we felt like we were not getting the results as promised by the web developer. I contacted Pinnacle directly and advised them of the situation. Mike in customer service took a professional approach, covering all bases and resolved the issue to our satisfaction within a matter of days. We could have easily suffered a financial loss and went to another software, but Mike acted in the best interest of the ultimate customer. We expect to be a satisfied client for a long time! Great cart, great customer service!

Travis’s comments: August 2008Apparently, I was involved in a issue of some kind by receiving software from a subcontractor to Pinnacle cart that was not properly licensed. In a big show of force a year after I purchased the software, Mike Auger at Pinnacle emailed me and many others demanding $595 for the license. I had never heard of Pinnacle before as the software had apparently been re-branded so I didn't feel comfortable handing over any money and said so. The license fee was dropped to $150 a few days later. All of my questions went poorly answered and no issues were dealt with. I paid the $150, though never fully satisfied with the explanation that they kept spouting.October 2008They offered to upgrade the cart software for all of the users still using the software with a third party developer that they highly recommended. Pinnacle claimed that the cart I was using was several versions behind and would soon become obsolete because of a credit card authentication system that was going to change in the future. They suggested Claim the Web, another company that has been equally poor at communication as their best developer for making specialty carts. They have made very little effort in upgrading the cart providing no information about what features the upgrade will have but they were really happy to take my credit card number for the upgrade. I asked if there was a forum or a website for the new cart but these questions went unanswered.March 2009.No word from either of these companies about the upgrade since the beginning of the year. I wrote Claim the Web asking about the upgrade and was referred to Mike at Pinnacle. Mike at Pinnacle referred me to Claim the Web. Neither of these companies has provided me any information about the upgrade.I'm very disappointed in both of these companies and their treatment of myself and others in my field who needed a specialty cart. I never understood fully why they were coming after me and not after the guy I purchased the cart from. They said they were pursuing him, but he is in business in another state doing something else web related today. Be very wary of this company as their customer service is probably the worst I have ever experienced and I tend to think they are not honest. I would suggest looking for online shopping carts elsewhere.

Toni’s comments: Before making the decision to go with Pinnacle Cart I did a lot of research on other shopping cart programs. So much so, that it took me a year to decide on who to go with. I have to say that I am VERY pleased with the program and the service provided by the Pinnacle Cart folks. The program was easy to set up, it is easy to maintain and does a great job for me. When I was setting up the cart Craig at Pinnacle Cart was very, very helpful and did everything and anything that was needed to get the cart up and running for me. I have been using it for over a year now and I've never had a problem with the cart working perfectly. When I wanted to give the cart a personalized look and needed some design assistance in other areas of the cart, Craig put in me in touch with Jordan at Garis Graphics. Once again, Jordan came through wonderfully for me and I couldn't be happier with his service either (in the event you need some design changes/enhancements too). Jordan can be reached at jordan@garisgraphics.com. What I'm saying in all this is YES I am very happy with Pinnacle Cart and NO I have not encountered ANY problems.
